Habakkuk

Many people in the American church believe they can come to the Lord, receive His love, His goodness,  His Salvation and then continue to live as they want.  If that is the way you think it works, then is message is for you. To receive what the Lord has for us in Salvation, Healing, Wholeness, Life, we give up our life.  It's a free thing.  But in order to receive it, we give up our control.  Yes that is a work in progress that continues until we either die or Jesus comes back.  But that should be our normal paradigm.

When difficult times arrive, hopefully we won't question the goodness of God, instead we will have a tendency to question our understanding of the situation, because that is much more subject to question than the goodness of God.

We must understand that in the days that we live in, God may bring about some pretty difficult times to end some of the things He's doing.  Some of those times may be uncomfortable, they may be unpleasant, they may be painful.  As the writer of Habakkuk came to understand at the end of his short book, he was able to rest in the goodness of God, no longer questioning God, but just saying "Ok God.  Now you've got me to the point that no matter what things look like, I can praise you".
